About 25,000 pounds of food was distributed at a drive-thru food giveaway event on Sept. 10 at Chabad Community Center for Jewish Life and Learning, 3000 W Hefner Road.
Rabbi Ovadia Goldman, the center's spiritual leader and director, along with his wife and center co-director, Nechoma Goldman, hosted the event as part of Chabad's COVID-19 Community Assistance Relief Efforts (CARES). More than 40 volunteers helped distribute the food as motorists participated drive-thru style.
